The STF AutoPrint application allows automated printing of received faxes. STF AutoPrint will print faxes to the Chooser-selected printer or to a separate designated printer immediately as they are received, or at a scheduled time.
If you used Easy Install, the STF AutoPrint application was placed in the Components folder inside the STF folder in your System folder. Aliases of the STF AutoPrint application and the FAX In folder were also placed in a new STF AutoPak folder on your hard drive for easy access.
After installation, the STF AutoPrint application will be used to print all faxes — except when you are viewing a fax using the STF Manager. A fax you are viewing with the STF Manager will be printed directly by the Manager application.
When using STF AutoPrint — the actual time required to print is dependent upon the printer used and the connection method. For example: A LaserWriter connected directly will be much faster than an AppleTalk networked printer.
You may print one or more selected (but not open) fax files manually by simply clicking the Print button in the STF Manager FAX In window.
You may also drag & drop fax file(s) onto the STF AutoPrint icon (or its alias) or manually select one or more fax files to print using the Print All... or Print Unprinted... commands in the STF AutoPrint File menu.

STF AutoPrint Preferences
You do not have to make any changes to the preferences to use STF AutoPrint, however, there are some specific situations in which you might want to do so. To modify the STF AutoPrint preferences, select Preferences... from the STF AutoPrint File menu. The STF AutoPrint Preferences dialog will appear:

Print on the
This dialog allows you to select a saved (designated) printer for printing faxes. By default STF AutoPrint will print to the printer currently selected in the Chooser. Print Options box

Shrink to fit
Check this box to print the fax at a reduced size so it will fit on the page when printed. Uncheck this box if you desire to print at actual size, preserving dimensional accuracy. However, some information may be "clipped" at the sides if your printer is not able to print to the edge of the paper.
--------------------------------
Bad Lines
A fax document is made up of several thousand horizontal scan lines. Noisy phone lines and call-waiting notifications can cause problems with the scan lines in a received fax.
The bad lines pop-up allows you to select how bad scan lines are to be handled. The default setting — Remove — will normally result in the most readable document. The available settings are:
Remove — delete bad lines, and move the following line(s) up to fill.
Show — print the entire fax, exactly as received.
Show and Mark — print bad line data, and put a "-" (hyphen) in the left margin to mark the bad lines.
Erase — erase bad lines and leave blank lines in their place.
--------------------------------
Quit when finished
Check this box to instruct the STF AutoPrint application to quit after completing an automated printing job. With STF AutoPrint set to print received faxes immediately, the application will open automatically when needed, and quit after performing its task.

After Printing
Click one of these radio buttons to "Delete this fax," "Archive it," or "Do not move" the fax after printing.
Archived faxes are saved to the FAX Archive folder by default, or your may select one of your own custom archive folders from the pop-up menu. Please see your FaxSTF™ 3.0 manual for instructions for creating Archive folders with the New Folder command under the Archive menu in STF Manager.
If you select “Do not move” you should periodically remove the fax files from the FAX In folder using the STF Manager or system performance will be degraded due to the large number of files which could accumulate in the folder.
